Members of the Creek Valley Band and Choir were selected to participate in the 2022 Wesleyan Honors Festival this past week, held at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, NE. Members chosen were Donovan, CJ, and Michael. Our students were able to join with students from across Nebraska, Kansas, and Iowa to work with composers who were conducting their own music. They were able to make beautiful music and create lifelong memories and friends. Congrats!

World History students are studying the Renaissance and channeled their inner Michelangelo today as they created their own frescoes; paintings on wet plaster. Thank you Mrs. Oliverius for the guidance!

The seniors presented their political parties today, including national, state, and local issues their parties would like to address. Nice job, seniors!

Creek Valley juniors and sophomores were presented information about RYLA this morning, by Chase, Jordan, Ella, and Emily. RYLA is the Rotary Youth Leadership Award, and sponsored by the Chappell Rotary Club. The award is given to at least 2 applicants each year, and allows students to attend a leadership camp at Nebraska National Forest outside of Halsey. This year's camp is July 12-17. The experience allows students to become better leaders, and involves many fun activities! Juniors and sophomores are encouraged to apply online at https://greatplainsryla.org/apply/. Applications are due March 31st. This award looks great on college and scholarship applications as well!
