The seventh graders are currently learning about ancient American civilizations in World History. In this project they focused on the Olmec, Toltec, Maya, Hohokam, "Mound Builders", and Mississippians. They created a timeline that showed when the different civilizations existed in relation to each other along with their dates and a brief description. In our next lesson we will learn about the cultures of these communities.

Congratulations to both the boys and girls basketball teams on their wins against Banner County!!

I apologize this is so late! December was a busy month in the CVELC Toddler Room! They met a new friend (our classroom elf), enjoyed some "new to us" donated toys (thank you Haley Derry and Shaunna Mashek), and through our Advent Calendar, they had a ton of fun doing all sorts of activities, some of which were:
Made, delivered (to the front offices), and ate some cookies
Searched for hidden candy canes
Called Santa and left a message on his answering machine
Made some art collages
Had some of Santa's special hot cocoa
Enjoyed a Christmas Party
Danced to some Christmas music
And of course,
