Creek Valley Public Schools

Our Pre-K students have been hard at work learning through hands-on experiences! We've been tracing lines and shapes and painting with water colors to build our pre-writing and fine-motor skills, exploring our multisensory letter activities, and practicing the letter F in lots of fun ways. We've also been building our math skills by creating castles with blocks, sorting and counting pop-poms and fruit snacks, and developing our problem-solving skills through play. Outside we took a closer look at a toad and talked about observing animals in their natural habitat.

🎨 So proud of these art club ladies! 🎨 These ladies represented Creek Valley VERY well today! 💚 Members of the Creek Valley Art Club traveled to Grant today to compete in a chalk competition hosted by Perkins County Schools. The theme was “Legacy,” and these girls designed and created this Dolly Parton-inspired mural in just THREE HOURS! 🦋 There were 18 teams competing, and while we didn’t take first place, our girls received so many impressed remarks about their design and the work they created. More importantly, these girls showed incredible teamwork, great attitudes, creativity, and AMAZING artistic skills throughout the entire competition. They worked together, encouraged one another, problem-solved, and made the most of every minute they had. 🌪️ As their art teacher, I could not be more proud of how they represented themselves, our Art Club, and Creek Valley Schools today. They should be incredibly proud of what they accomplished! 💗 Way to go, ladies!

Great job all around

The Pre-K class has had an amazing week of learning! We used Play-Doh to make our first initials, discovered hidden messages with "Mystery Painting," played "Spot It," did a hands-on experiment with clogged drains (so we know not to put paper towels down the toilet), and had fun smashing chalk on black paper during our outdoor time! What a fun week!

The Storm XC team competed at Gering on Friday. Belle led the way with a 5th place finish in the JV category. Logan, Luke, and Carter competed in the Varsity category and placed 40th, 48th, and 53rd respectively. Great work guys on setting course personal bests on arguably the most difficult course of the season! Go Storm! 🌪️
